Inspired by the traditional scrolls of Hundred Fortune and Longevity (百福/ 壽圖), 100 Smiles Art Print 百笑圖 is based on HK artist TTS' painting series 'Hundred Smiles' from 2019. Through repeating the Chinese character 「笑」(smile) and the artist's signature, an upward-downward smiley motif to create this original pattern, TTS brings a modern twist to the tradition with a new focus on the emotion of happiness, a notion of equal importance in modern life.
Printed on fine art paper, this intriguing style is enhanced with foil that reflects the shape of the text symbols subtly, while a contrasting foil adds a touch of luxe. Each fine art print was expertly hand-crafted with love and care by a local talented artisan. Printed twice using custom-made magnesium plate, this art piece is crafted to be passed on for generations.
