A small decorative vase with a flared top, this piece is part of a series exploring color and surface variation of wood ash mixed with natural minerals and fired in an electric kiln. A subtle variation in hues from green and blue to black were created by controlling the absorbtion of the wood ash glaze into the clay before final firing.
Surface irregularities are an inherent part of handmade ceramic production and should not be seen as flaws. They contribute to the unique qualities of the vessel.Please note, due to the extreme thinness of glaze on some portions of these vases, not all are water tight.
