The Ke San Zu Zisha Clay Teapot is made with purple sand clay sourced from the historic Huanglong Mountain in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, China.
Zisha ware is typically red or brown in color, and is left unglazed in order to emphasize its natural texture and color. The clay has unique semi-porcelain and semi-washed material characteristics giving it excellent air permeability and the ability to absorb tea oil. The more you use the teapot, the more lustrous the surface will get.
