Inspired by the African Ashanti stool, the Libra has been re-contextualized with modern materials such as steel and recycled plastic strips. Kitt.Ta.Khon melds African references with Southeast Asian wicker techniques and patterns all in one design.
The Libra Stool is offered in a variety of black and white patterns, bringing forward an age-old tradition to a timeless contemporary setting. The powder-coated steel leg decorated with rattan provides the structure for this chair that carries a sense of lightness, which cannot be achieved with rattan alone. The weaving pattern is made of 100% recycled PE plastic combined with nylon rope.
