Each of Louise's ‘Little Chinese Windows’ depicts a curated vignette of objects arranged as a still life image with image details layered over the top.
A photograph inspired by an old biscuit tin that came from Beijing to add to Louise Hill's collection. She loves the vibrant colors of the metallic emerald green with the Chinese red/orange of the goldfish. For this design, she added several layers of extra embroidered fish, photos taken from some vintage Chinese fabric that came from a shop in Barcelona, Spain! The white air bubbles are photographed little white carved wooden beads from China.
